The Boston NC-510-SHY Nitrocellulose Lacquer Spray in Sunburst Heart Yellow is ideal for creating traditional sunburst finishes on electric and acoustic guitars. This 500ml aerosol delivers a classic vintage-style finish, making it suitable for guitar building, restoration and refinishing projects.
Nitrocellulose lacquer has been widely used on guitars since the 1950s and 1960s. Its thin finish allows the wood to resonate naturally while providing an attractive gloss when polished. Over time, nitrocellulose lacquer develops characteristic ageing effects, including checking and yellowing, giving instruments an authentic vintage appearance.
The Sunburst Heart Yellow shade is particularly suited to creating the warm yellow centre of a traditional sunburst guitar finish.

Application Instructions
Shake the can thoroughly before use. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Hold the aerosol approximately 20cm from the surface and apply thin, even coats, allowing around 10 minutes between applications.
Apply in a dry, well-ventilated area at temperatures of at least 15°C. Allow sufficient curing time before handling, sanding or polishing.
Safety: Highly flammable aerosol. Use suitable protective equipment and follow all instructions and warnings on the product label. Keep away from heat, sparks and naked flames.
