The Boston Vintage Body Teaser is a high-quality Japanese-made TE-style guitar body, designed to solve one of the biggest modern guitar-building challenges: excess weight. As lightweight alder and ash become increasingly difficult to source, this innovative chambered (thinline) design without an f-hole delivers excellent resonance while keeping the classic solid-body appearance intact.

Both the treble and bass sides are hollowed internally, resulting in a lively, responsive body that feels lighter on the strap and more acoustically resonant than a traditional solid TE body — without compromising aesthetics.

Crafted from 2-piece ash, this body offers the familiar snap, clarity, and dynamic response that ash is known for, making it an excellent foundation for vintage-inspired or modern custom builds.

Built for Builders

Manufactured in Japan by the same experienced makers who have been producing high-quality bodies and necks since the 1980s, the Teaser body reflects decades of craftsmanship and consistency. The small edge radius allows builders the option to rout for binding, offering greater flexibility for custom finishing.

As with all quality tonewoods, each body is unique — grain patterns and appearance may vary slightly from the product image. The neck pocket is cut precisely and may require light sanding to achieve a perfect, snug fit depending on the neck used.

Before finishing, only minor sanding is required.
