With its classic dreadnought shape and scalloped bracing, the D-28 delivers the commanding voice that has shaped acoustic music for almost 100 years—booming lows, articulate highs, and lush harmonic depth. Built with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, this instrument offers a full, resonant sound that suits any playing style.

The satin-finished neck features a Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval profile with a high-performance taper and a 25.4" scale length, providing a smooth, fast, and comfortable feel. Elegant touches—antique white binding, an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots, an ebony bridge with bone pins, and nickel open-gear tuners—combine traditional aesthetics with modern performance. Offered in multiple gloss and satin finishes, the D-28 is crafted to inspire.

Martin’s updated Standard Series for 2025 elevates tone, comfort, and visual appeal. Sitka spruce GE top bracing, borrowed from the Modern Deluxe line, adds vintage-flavored resonance and sustain, while a redesigned neck, slimmer fingerboard, and refined bridge and heel introduce improved playability and a cleaner look.
