NitorLACK Candy Tangerine is a 400ml nitrocellulose spray designed for use with metallic base coats to create a vivid, translucent orange “candy” finish. Originally developed in the 1950s and revived by Fender Custom Shop in the 2000s, Candy Tangerine is inspired by Hot Rod car colours and is widely used for custom and relic guitar projects.
To achieve its full effect, it should be sprayed over a metallic base such as GoldTop, Shoreline Gold, or Inca Silver, depending on your desired undertone. The result is a striking bilayer finish with real visual depth and sparkle.
