Cedar is a favourite amongst classical players for its warm, responsive character, while the mahogany construction helps produce a rounded, deeper tone.

Combined with nylon strings, the result is a smooth and expressive sound that's equally suited to delicate fingerstyle playing and amplified live performance.

Classical Feel with Sire Playability

Sire has given the G5C a 48mm bone nut, providing the wider string spacing associated with classical and nylon-string guitars.

The mahogany C-shaped neck is paired with a rosewood Sire Edgeless™ fingerboard, featuring rolled fretboard edges for Sire's famously comfortable playing feel.

Its 25.5" scale, 19.7" fingerboard radius and 22 vintage-style frets create an interesting combination of classical string spacing with the accessibility of a modern Sire instrument.

VividX-N Electronics

The G5C features Sire's VividX-N preamp, developed specifically for nylon-string instruments.

An under-saddle piezo pickup captures the natural response of the strings, while dedicated controls give you:

Volume • Treble • Middle • Bass • Phase

The 3-band EQ lets you tailor the amplified sound to the room, PA or amplifier, while the phase switch can help control feedback in live situations.

Designed for Live Performance

One of the biggest advantages of the G5C is its solid-body format.
