Boss Space Echo Pedal, RE-202
The Boss RE-202 Space Echo pedal is the cutting edge of Boss innovation, and a brand-new take on one of their most legendary classic pedals from the '70s - the RE-201. Designed to accurately replicate the sound of its predecessor, this pedal offers a multi-tape echo delay sound that will transport you to another dimension. When paired with the original spring reverb as well as many other reverb options, you'll have an echo sound like no other beneath your feet.
It's a sound you can make your own too, the RE-202 offers a huge amount of effect controls such as the Wow & Flutter knob which introduces varying levels of tape modulation. You can use the save and select to store up to 127 memories via external MIDI, the saturation control brings magnetic tape compression as well as preamp colouration, and the tap tempo allows you to time your delay with pinpoint accuracy - helping to elevate your performance to the next level.
Full Description
A space-age echo that transports you through time
A hugely versatile pedal, you’ll be able to combine a vintage sound with all the modern technological perks and harmonics. You can easily access and combine the brand-new features of the RE-202 with the vintage characteristics of the classic pedal. The magnetic tape and preamp behaviours that were feature on the RE-201 originally can be accessed on the RE-202 through the saturation control which will provide compression and warmth to the tone, alongside the modulation effect that can be achieved from the Wow & Flutter control.
Inspired by a legendary blueprint
Designed to accommodate the modern musician, the RE-202 now features twice the delay time as well as a tap tempo control, allowing for pinpoint accuracy when shaping your delay sound. The fourth virtual tape head unlocks five extra sound combinations and unlike the previous model, the RE-202 has a true stereo I/O and selectable operation for guitar and line-level devices. You can also connect external footswitches or expression pedals for additional control, and any dry sounds can be manipulated between the warmer, full tones of the 201 or the clean zero processing signal. This dry signal can also be muted when your in the studio or aiming to run simultaneous effects out of the same set up.
