The Player Plus Meteora comes ready to rock with a pair of impressive Firebomb pickups, which allow for subtlety in destruction. Perfectly capturing every aspect of the natural sound, every frequency is covered evenly, providing tight lows, a defined midrange, and scintillating highs. This impeccable level of clarity is matched with just the right amount of gain for a sound that is reminiscent of that classic Fender tone, but with a modern insight to make it perfectly suitable for the contemporary performer. An all-important S-1 switch allows you to split the humbuckers and reinforces that single-coil history of the classic fender models.

Fantastic Playability

Fender are famed for their playability, and the Meteora doesn’t fail to deliver. Utilising a modern “C” maple neck, you have an assured comfortable grasp delivering full control of the instrument, and wrapped up with a gloss finish, your hand will be able to glide effortlessly from the extremes of the fretboard. Of course, that brings us to the maple fretboard, which delivers an unblemished surface to flurry across with utmost ferocity, maximising your performance at every moment.

A different dimension

The Fender Meteora is a relatively recent addition to the Fender line-up. The body of the instrument offers a feel reminiscent of the Jazzmaster, with its offset shape and straightforward control layout. Tonally, it lays well within the recognisable sonic realms of Fender’s other guitars, and this is, in part, to its application of an alder construction which is well-balanced, furthering the sonic qualities of the instrument. Finally, a tremendous two-point tremolo is attached to ensure perfect vibrato effects while keeping your tuning accurate and in place.
