All sapele body

Known for its dark red colour, sapele is a sustainable alternative to mahogany, and its tonal properties are very similar. It has a warm, full-bodied tone that's great for blues, jazz, rock or classical playing - and it'll only get better with age!

And thanks to Martin's ingenious Tone Tension X bracing pattern, you can expect an accentuated bass response, plenty of volume and projection, in addition to a defined top-end that'll make fingerpicked passages crystal-clear.

Completely unrestricted playing

Acoustic lovers, electric lovers - rejoice! Because the SC-10E has something for everyone. Its weight-balanced body packs enough depth, volume and dynamic fidelity to please any musician that needs developed and versatile tones. Combined with that, the totally redesigned slim profile neck will have even the most virtuoso shredders feeling at home!

A reduced neck heel and cutaway profile allow for slick lead playing far up the neck, while further down the fretboard thumb-over and complex chording styles are made far more fluid by the thin grip. Martin call it a high-velocity neck barrel, and so they should, because it eases comfort and increases speed at every fret position!
