Why Choose Suhr Guitars?

Suhr has been part of the Everest Music range for over five years. What makes the brand stand out is its craftsmanship, attention to detail and reputation among serious players.

Players often notice this immediately when trying a Suhr for the first time, particularly in the way the guitar feels finished and responsive straight away.

Who Are Suhr Guitars For?

Suhr guitars are built for players who know what they want from an instrument.

Whether you're a gigging musician, a recording artist, or simply someone who appreciates exceptional craftsmanship, Suhr guitars are designed to deliver the highest level of performance without compromise.

They appeal to players who love the character and feel of classic guitars but want the reliability, precision and playability that modern guitar building can offer.

What Makes Suhr Premium?

Suhr guitars are known for their craftsmanship, attention to detail and refined build quality.

The design blends vintage inspiration with modern performance — creating instruments that feel familiar, but elevated.

From fretwork and neck feel to electronics and setup, everything is built to feel immediate and effortless in the hands.

The Story Behind Suhr

The company was founded by John Suhr, one of the most respected names in modern guitar building.

Before establishing Suhr, John Suhr built a reputation working on instruments for professional musicians and was involved in the development of some of the most sought-after custom guitars of the era, including the Pensa-Suhr period associated with Mark Knopfler.

Working with some of the most respected players in the industry helped shape the standards that Suhr guitars are known for today.

Trusted by Professional Players

Suhr guitars and amplifiers can be found in the hands of some of the world's most respected musicians.

Pete Thorn

Known for his work with Chris Cornell, including live performances of "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart". A long-time Suhr user across studio and touring environments.

Andy Wood

Known for touring with Rascal Flatts and performing with artists including Scott Stapp. Andy Wood blends classic country chicken pickin' with fast, technical shredding, making him one of the most distinctive guitarists in modern country and rock.

Mateus Asato

A highly influential modern guitarist known for his expressive playing and melodic style. He has worked with artists such as Bruno Mars, and is widely recognised for his clean tone, tasteful phrasing and standout live and session performances.
